Travelled by water taxi to start of the Grand Canal and then by taxi across the causeway to the Italian Mainland. Then a row hour train journey to Trieste where we checked in to the Savoy Excelsior Palace Hotel.

Arrived by Flixbus from Ravenna on Monday 10th June and checked into the Danieli Hotl. Visited the Peggy Guggenheim museum. On Tuesday 11th June visited Murano island and the Rialto Bridge.
